My Dad is Home!

His gallbladder surgery was successful, and his gallbladder was very inflamed when they took it out, so it was very likely the cause of the problems he was having. He's at home resting and recovering and doing well. Thanks for your prayers.

They've figured out that his gallbladder is messed up and was almost certainly causing the pain. He's supposed to stay in the hospital and have it removed in the next couple of days. He's not too happy. Please pray for his state of mind, that the surgery will be scheduled quickly, and that it will be safe and successful with a good recovery.

We are very thankful that his heart is fine!

Request for My Dad

A few hours ago my dad went to the ER with bad chest pain. His EKGs are ok, so they're pretty sure it's not a heart attack. However, they gave him nitroglycerin and his pain got better, so it seems like it might be something with his heart. It could also be his esophagus. They're doing tests, and I don't know yet if they will keep him over night or not. Please keep him in your prayers. He's the best Dad Poppy in the world, and we love him a lot.

Update: They have decided to keep him over night for observation.

A few weeks ago, a teenaged friend had emergency surgery for a brain bleed. I just found out that he is bleeding from his brain again. Please pray for him. He is a Christian, and he has had a really good perspective on the last time. I can only imagine what he must be going through now.

The storm is here, but we are cozy and safe in the house. Praise God :)
We're not expecting any damage. It's like one of our regular storms with a bit more wind and less thunder and lightning. And I'm feeling much better.

Home Again

Well, I'm home. God is faithful. The docs never figured out what is causing the pain, so I'm home with pain medicine and not a lot of answers. I'm happy to be here, though. I'm still hurting, but not as badly as I was.

Back in the Hospital

Well, here we go. The past few days I've had terrible pain in the right side of my abdomen that seems to be caused by something other than Crohn's Disease. We had one theory about its cause, but that appears to be incorrect. We came to the ER this morning, and I was admitted to the hospital for the second time in two weeks. This appears to be unrelated to what I went in for last time. I really believe this is an attack of Satan. He doesn't like what God's been doing in my life. But there's NO WAY I'm backing down!

Please pray for healing.
Please pray for relief from pain.
Please pray that if it is appendicitis they will figure it out.
Please pray that if it's something else they will figure that out.
Finally, as always, please pray for Abba God's presence.
